Question:
will the 13084 be easily installed on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport that has never had a hitch on it? What issues might there be? Does the 13084 come with the easy wiring kit? Thank you!

Thanks for the pictures Keith. The Curt item # 13084 hitch will indeed be easy to install on your 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport. You'll definitely want to use a wire brush to clean out the existing weld nuts on your driver's side though. I'm sure they've accumulated some gunk and debris inside them over the last 26 years.
The Curt item # 13084 is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity and a 500 lbs maximum tongue weight. It'll include all the necessary hardware you need to get it installed. It does not come with a wiring harness but you can add one using the Curt item # C55354 which plugs in behind the rear tail lights.
As an alternative that'll save you some money, I recommend our etrailer item # e97AR. This hitch is identical to the Curt item # 13084 you were looking at with the exception of the matte finish and the price. Curt makes our house brand hitches.
What do you plan on using your new hitch for?

Thanks! I’ll check out the alternate as well. I’ll be using it to pull a lawn mower and a kayak trailer, just light misc. Do you guys offer a veteran discount or anything like that?
