Question:
I have a 2015 Jayco Jay Flight SLX 267BHS with a non-ducted AC, and we do a fair amount of generator camping. I don’t want to go bigger than I need to, but I also don’t want another weak unit. Which way would you go?

Hey Steve! If you’re trying to stay practical for generator use, I’d start by comparing the Signature Mach 3 # CM58RR and the Signature Mach 15 # CM93RR. Both run on 115/120V AC power, and the listed cooling draw is pretty close - 12.8 amps for # CM58RR and 13.9 amps for # CM93RR.
So if your old 13.5K unit cooled the trailer reasonably well most of the time, I’d stay with the Mach 3 # CM58RR. If it always felt behind once summer heat set in, I’d move up to the Mach 15 # CM93RR. If you want, tell me what generator you’re running and where you usually camp, and I can help you choose the better fit.
