Question:
I was ready to purchase until i stumbled upon a note should have made it more prominent. My two ebikes have fenders. They dont go high or too low but they are there. I love the easy design. It there a angular point the side arms need to reach to be secured?

Hey John. The Hollywood Racks CrossTrack Bike Rack item # HLY38RR arms need to be able to clamp down on the tires from somewhere between the 1 o'clock to 2 o'clock positions and the 10 o'clock and 11 o'clock positions. The arms need to be in direct contact with the wheels.
I've linked the installation instructions below for the CrossTrack Bike Rack item # HLY38RR. Pages 10-12 show the arm locking positions in detail.
If your e-bikes' fenders extend farther than that, I recommend the Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack item # HLY66ZR. This bike rack comes with a built in ramp for loading, it has a 70 lbs per bike capacity, and works with tires up to 4-1/2" wide. Instead of gripping your bikes by the wheels, this rack uses padded rotating clamps that can be attached to the frame, seat post, or handlebar post.
What kind of e-bikes do you have and how far down your tires do the fenders extend?

John, I have two e-bikes that I carry on the Destination E bike rack. One is a two and a half inch wheel and the other is a 20-in fat-tire wheel. Straps on the bottom fit on both ebikes. The rack carries both bikes very nicely and I love the ramps so you don't have to lift anything. What's really nice is the locks that are on this rack so nobody can steal your bikes.

The destination E rack works very well. My wife's bike has fenders so the mounting works good with the straps for the tires and the arms that hold the bike.

John, I also have the Destination E Hollywood rack. We have Trek e-bikes with fenders and this rack is fantastic. It takes two of us to mount it to the truck but the ramp makes it very easy to load the bikes. The locks are great because we have to leave them on the rack overnight when taking them from Michigan to Florida. We remove the batteries and lock them up and have had no problems. Very happy with our choice of bike rack.

I often carry 2 aventon bikes w/ fenders-no problems at all. The arms reach over and hold the bikes securely. The zip lock wheel straps are located well below the fenders. The roll-up ramp makes it easy to put bikes on the rack. The rack itself is super well make and holds bikes perfectly for long drives, but easy to use for short rides and easy-on/off loading. Had mine 3 years and use it regularly.
