Will this usb power cable work for brakebuddy remotes?

Hey Bill. The USB Remote Power Cable item # BLU99XR is designed for the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System like item # BLU37TR. We never tested it on a Brakebuddy remote while we had them but it should work.
The USB Remote Power Cable item # BLU99XR is designed to work with a 12v USB plug that inserts into a standard 12-volt DC barrel connector, which is what the Brakebuddy remotes use with their cigarette lighter power cords.
Depending on what vehicle you have you may need to install the 12 Volt Outlet Kit item # RM-9332. This will wire directly to your battery and provide constant power to run your braking system.
What vehicle are you flat towing and do your USB ports stay powered on when it's being flat towed?

Thank you Jerred. Since the remote itself runs on the 1.5volt battery, I was hopeful that the 5volt usb cable would be sufficient to power it. My RV does not have any 12volt cigarette light type sockets. Only usb power is available. Looks like I need to run a 12 outlet.
