Replacement Manual Pull-Out Step for an 18" Entry Height

Updated 04/24/2026 | Published 04/21/2026

Question:

Looking for a single manual step for my horse trailer entry door. We are having a problem figuring out the size on your website. Underneath the trailer door for mounting measures 26 1/2 wide. The outside from the door to the ground is 18. Can you help us figure what we need.

Hey Robin, welcome back! The Flexco Manual Pull-Out Steps for RVs item # SMFP-1100 is going to be the closest option I have. It has steps that are 24" wide x 9" deep and is designed for 14-1/2" – 17-1/2" entry heights.

Overall the Flexco item # SMFP-1100 measures 25" wide x 7" tall x 6" deep. You'll also need to install the Lippert Outriggers for Manual RV Steps item # LC301704. These can be bolted or welded to your horse trailers frame.

You mentioned having something mounted under your door measuring 26-1/2" wide. If that's a mounting bracket, we do not have a set of steps that short that will fit them. You would need to remove them and install the item # LC301704 to attach the Flexco item # SMFP-1100.

Are you replacing an existing step or just wanting to add one?
