Question:

Seeing if everything I need in this kit is compatible with a 2013 VW Touareg v6 sport model. No factory wiring or pre existing connectors for towing. I am going to purchase the hitch itself but Im seeing what I need in order to have it wired properly for brake lights. Im not interested in a brake control module I dont think Im going to be Towing anything that heavy just a cargo basket or bike rack.

Hey Blas. To add a 4-way connector to a 2013 VW Touareg, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness item # 118668. This custom fit harness plugs in behind your rear tail lights. It will provide you with a 4-way connector capable of controlling your bike rack or cargo baskets lighting functions like brake lights.

For a hitch, I also recommend our etrailer item # e89KR. This custom fit hitch has a 2" receiver and installs behind your rear bumper cover. It has a 750 lbs tongue weight capacity so you'll easily be able to transport bikes or cargo. If you ever decided to tow a trailer it has up to a 7,500 lbs capacity.
