Hey Sally, are you sure the 12 volt accessory circuit of the 7-way on your 2019 Volkswagen Atlas is active? On a lot of vehicles this circuit isn't ran and you have to run wire from it to the positive post of your battery. For that 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 which we sell by the foot would be what you'd need.

Sally, I just paired and operated the Echo controller yesterday. The instructions are misleading as printed and the manufacturer web site is also misleading. What worked for me to finally pair and operate after a little over an hour of comparing various instructions,1: plug in the controller into the 7 pin connector on vehicle. 2: start the vehicle and observe a flashing blue light. 3: plug the trailer into the controller, the light should be green. 4: open the APP and select pair with Bluetooth. 5: follow instructions on APP to connect system for trailer and insert the pin information when the Green rotating circle opens and looks for input. Note: I had to remove and reload the APP once to get it to work. I looked at several web sites before getting things in the correct sequence to pair and operate. System works great once setup to your phone
