Hey Rob, welcome back. The best brake controller for your 2006 International 4300 truck, is going to be the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite item # RED44FR. It includes a wiring harness that will allow you to complete the installation. It's going to connect to your truck's brake light switch. We do not have an option that will connect to your air brakes.
The Tow-Pro Elite item # RED44FR works with 12v and 24v systems and trailer's having up to three axles. It's a proportional brake controller so it's going to engage your trailer's brakes with the same amount of force your truck is slowing or stopping with.
What kind of trailer or trailers are you pulling?

I installed this into my 2000 Jeep Cherokee and, while many might say it was "overkill", I wanted something that acted proportionate to vehicle braking without the guess. All I have to worry about is gain control. It takes a couple drives to calibrate, but overall works MUCH better than most as far as response!

Installed myself on my Toyota Highlander 2022. Not too hard to install but a part of the instruction appeared to me a bit tricky about where to connect the red wire but finally found and the setup was right done. I have also a Toyota Tacoma 2018 on which I've installed the Lesser Redarc Tow-Pro liberty model rather to the Elite model and, the Elite model is much better to control and on brake power. So, all the way to the Redarc Elite model.

I did not install this myself but am very pleased with this unit. I had it installed on my 2020 Ford Ranger and because of the smaller cab size wanted something less obtrusive. This fit the bill. Also I don’t believe I have ever had a controller better than this as far as dialing in for specific loads.
