Custom Wiring Harness for a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu

I bought the Curt T Connecter wiring harness for my 2018 Chevy Malibu. But the grove in the plug to connect the harness to the brake light wiring, is on the wrong side of the connector. Is there some sort of adapter required? It wont plug in to the existing brake light wiring

Hey, Mark. Thanks For reaching out.
That sounds frustrating to deal with. The 2018 Chevrolet Malibu had two different sub models, the Premier and the Non-Premier. The Curt harness # C56387 would be a fit for a Non-Premier model. We do carry the harness for the Premier model as well, part # C56313. Below are two pictures showing the slight differences in the two plugs.

I called E Trailer and exchanged the premier Harness for the correct non Premier harness. Looks like it will work will try this coming weekend. 03/07/26. Thanks for reaching out
