In order to tow your 2005 Jeep Liberty with your Rangefinder II BX4322 tow bar, you will need to use Roadmaster base plates, such as the EZ4 Base Plate Kit # RM-521423-4, with the Blue Ox Rangefinder II to Roadmaster Bracket Adapter # RM-037. This setup is needed because Blue Ox does not offer a base plate kit for the 2005 Liberty that is compatible with the Rangefinder II tow bar.

You will also need a light kit for the Liberty. For a temporary lighting solution you can use the Magnetic Towing Light Kit part # RM-2120. These lights have a magnet that will stick to a flat metal surface and plug into a 4-flat on the tow vehicle. For a more permanent solution, use the Roadmaster 6-Diode Universal Wiring Kit, part # 154-792-118158.

If you do not have safety cables I recommend the Blue Ox 7 foot Safety Cables # BX88197.

Most states now require a supplemental braking system. I recommend the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Proportional Braking part # RM-9400. This unit is a proportional controller that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the RV is braking. This provides the safest type of braking and saves wear and tear on your Jeep and RV.
