Question:

What grade of bolt is recommended to install a 2” ball coupler to 3” galvanized trailer ?? For the DM 15000 model, 1/2” size, should Stainless steel used?

Hey Bruce, I would go with Grade 8 bolts to install the Demco Straight Tongue Coupler part # DM15000-52. Stainless would be a great choice too but that's not an absolute requirement.

Best option we have is the part #e98887 for a pin lock for the Demco coupler part #DM15000-52. This has a pin diameter of 1/4 inch and a length of 2-1/2 inches so it will fit tight to your coupler and fit well still.
