For your 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 the Curt TriFlex NEXT Trailer Brake Controller w/ Custom Harness - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional # C65YV that you asked the question on would work great for you! The # C65YV will even come with the vehicle specific pigtail for a very simple install.
Is there another brand you were trying to get? I am very curious on what "research" was really meant to say.
