Aluminum RapidRamps For 7 Foot Wide Equipment Trailer To Haul Side By Side

Updated 02/03/2026 | Published 02/02/2026

Question:

My equipment trailer is just over 7 feet wide, and I load a side-by-side that’s pretty heavy. Which RapidRamps kit should I be looking at?

Jason, since your trailer is over 6-1/2 feet wide, you’ll want either # e97XV 5 foot ramps or # e67XV 6 foot ramps. For a heavier side-by-side, the 6foot RapidRamps kit # e67XV is usually the better option because the longer ramps reduce the loading angle and make it easier on both the machine and the trailer.

Both kits are rated at 3,000 lbs per ramp (6,000lbs total), but the smoother approach of the 6 foot ramps is what really makes the difference for larger UTVs. What kind of trailer and side by side do you have? I had a Polaris Ranger awhile back and it was a beast.

Trailer is a Big Tex utility trailer and the side-by-side is a Polaris Ranger 1000. Deck height is around 19 inches.

@Jason Oh nice! Those are super cool. My buddy has one like that. With deck height on the low side, and a utv that doesn't sit low, the 5 foot ramps will do just fine! I've loaded side by sides and golfcarts with 4 foot ramps, so you won't have an issue.
