Question:

Good morning i have a 2014 jayco trailer with tadem axles and a slide out. I am looking for some extra protection on the top of the wheel well in case of a tire blow out? Do you carry anything like that?

Hey Tim, welcome back. We don't have any kind of part that would provide additional support to your fender in case of a blow out.

The best way to avoid blowouts is going to be to maintain the correct amount of air pressure in your Jayco's tires. The best way to do this is to install a tire pressure monitoring system. I recommend the TST TPMS for RVs item # TST-507-FT-4-C.

The TST TPMS for RVs item # TST-507-FT-4-C comes with a 3-1/2" color display monitor, flow-through sensors that don't require removal when adding air, and a signal repeater for reliable real-time monitoring of pressure and temperature. It provides, instant audio/visual alerts for rapid leaks, high temperatures, and pressure variances.

Have you experienced a blow out before?

TPMS, I won't tow without it. It gives tire pressure and temperature. You can see if you have a slow leak, or high temperature giving you time to make corrections.

They are terrific. Lets you drive with confidence to know how your tires are performing. We have a 40’ Montana and added the extended range adapter in the front electrical compartment. Sometimes takes a minute or two for all the sensors to register in the display but from then on it’s great.
