Question:

My truck is a 2026 and came with a goose neck ball hitch for the bed and chain hooks, factory pre-installed bed holes to except either goose neck or 5th wheel hitch. Chevy Silverado 2500 HD Diesel TrailBoss.

Thanks for the information Keith and congrats on your new truck! The only way to get additional turning clearance when using a gooseneck pin box like item # GY57ND is to install the Curt RockerBall Multi-Fit Ball Kit w/ 4" Offset item # C78ZV.

The Curt RockerBall item # C78ZV is going to mount to your gooseneck ball hole and the back pucks. It's going to move your gooseneck ball back 4" towards your tailgate. The structure has built in safety chain loops and the gooseneck ball has shock absorbing dampers.

If your 5th wheel trailer has a standard kingpin, I recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch item # BWRVK3775. The Companion Slider has a 20,000 lbs capacity and will give you 12" of travel for making tight turns and backing. It's going to mount directly to the four pucks inside your Silverado's bed.

What kind of 5th wheel trailer do you have and are you interested in converting the pin box to a gooseneck style connection?

Awesome, this has directly given me the answers I needed for both queries. I am still researching 5th wheels at this moment in time, the clearance issues I have seen from YouTube and other informative sites, so, you have given me a more confident route to take, whether it's goose or sliding 5th wheel hitch, so thank you so much for the information. Thank you... Keith
