Is There A Way To Install The LaSalle Bristol Ceiling Fan And By Pass The Wall Switch?

Question:
can you by pass the wall switch on this fan? I have an existing RV with no way of running additional wiring through the insulated walls/ceiling. Unit is a 2002 Myacht house boat which is a boat with a tracker on the hull.

Hey Shaun,
It is possible to by pass the wall switch on the LaSalle Bristol Ceiling Fan # 344410TSDC36BNOKCY, however that would mean you would lose some of its functionality. The wall switch included with this fan allows you to control 4 different fan speeds as well as blade direction. If you were to by pass that you would likely only have a single speed function and lose the blade control, unless you install a separate 4 speed DC controller.
If you are fine with just using 1 speed on that fan then you would just need to wire in one of the speed wires depending on what speed you want to use. Each wire would be labeled as to which speed it corresponds to, and 12V would just be run to that. Otherwise it is recommended with this fan to use the included wall switch for that functionality.
Where are you looking to put this fan in the Myatch?

Hey Shaun, how did things go with wiring the LaSalle Bristol ceiling fan in your Myacht? Were you able to get it running at a single speed or did you decide to keep the wall switch for full control? Your update could make it easier for others working with similar setups.
