Hello Michel,
Upgrading from your original DuoTherm 13,500 BTU air conditioner is a great move, especially if you’re looking for stronger cooling and a quieter setup in your 2007 Gulf Stream Sun Voyager. Since your RV uses a ducted system, the Furrion Chill HE 15,000 BTU RV Air Conditioner # FR65TD is an excellent replacement option.
This unit gives you a noticeable boost in cooling over your old 13.5K system and is designed specifically for ducted, single-zone RVs. One of the biggest improvements you’ll notice is how much quieter it runs compared to older rooftop units. It also uses modern R32 refrigerant and comes as a matched system, so everything is designed to work together smoothly for reliable performance.
If you want to take things a step further, the Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner 18,000 BTU # FR49TD is the premium upgrade. It delivers even more cooling power, cools the RV faster in extreme heat, and is more efficient overall. On top of that, it’s Furrion’s quietest ducted air conditioner, making it a great choice if noise level is a top priority. It even comes with a handy remote with a follow me feature so you can finally get that one spot in your camper to the temperature you desire.
What has been your greatest adventure in your Sun Voyager, where did you go, what did you see? I am always looking for new places to explore, I have learned there is no one better to ask than our neighbors (customers).
