Can Air Bag System be Used with Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System

Question:
Please give me your thoughts. I pull a 30 Travel Trailer which weighs 8600 lbs, with a tongue weight of approx 1200 lbs on my 2023 F250. I have used the Equal-i-zer anti sway and weight distribution system EQ37120ET 12K which has worked very well. BUT when driving on bouncy/rough roads/pot holes we get a lot of the harsh road effect transfer onto the truck suspension which can make for a pounding ride. I am considering installing an air lift suspension system such as the Firestone Ride-Rite in hope to soften harsh ride. I have two questions: 1 is there any reason you are aware of why I should not also install an air lift system with the equalizer system? 2 Assuming the above answer is no, how best to set up? I imagine the set up for the equalizer is the same, but if so, will adding air to the bags throw off the equalizer set up as far as riding height of both the front and rear of the vehicle? After setting up the equalizer should I fill the air bags to level the rear of the F250 and just lower the hitch height to compensate so the travel trailer is level? The current ground to top of fender height of my tow vehicle with and without the trailer attached are as follows: W/O trailer. With trailer LF: 41 1/2”. 41 1/2 RF: 41 1/4”. 41 3/8 LR: 43 1/4”. 41 1/2 RR: 43 1/2”. 41 3/8 Thank you

Hey Peter, so you can definitely use the Firestone Ride Rite kit part # F95FV on your 2023 Ford F-250 with the Equalizer WD system part # EQ37120ET you have. This will give you additional suspension support but these kits are actually harsher than what you'd think with air bags.
Instead what I would recommend is the Roadactive kit part # RAS3611-SLHD as this gives you additional support like you are wanting but it actually improves loaded and unloaded ride quality unlike every other option. This will fix the harsh ride quality you have now and will improve handling as well.
So to use either kit with a weight distribution system the trick is to setup the suspension enhancement first and then setup the WD system after so that you get the proper amount of spring bar tension with the new suspension support.

Thank you for the information and suggestion. I was reading a few reviews which mostly address the sag improvement, but that is not my issue. My issue is the harsh ride that I get when driving over bumpy and buckled roads. This may occur because my F250 has an overload spring. I pull my 8,600 lb travel trailer long distances and many of the Interstate Highways are in poor condition. I get so pounded that I get headaches and need to pull off the highway for rest! If I install the RAS3611-SLHD will I have to remove the overload spring? Thanks again.
