Is There A Permanent Disconnect For Battery So I Don't Have To Remove The Battery To Charge It?

Updated 12/30/2025 | Published 12/29/2025

Question:

I'm tired of removing my battery with tools and nuts every start and end to a season. Is there a quick-disconnect solution that still stays secure while I’m running? not alligator clamps or anything like that please. thanks, kevin

Kevin, you’re definitely not alone with that mindset! Luckily, the Connect-Ease kits - from the 12V # CE76RR, up through the 24V # CE26RR and # CE58RR, and the 36V # CE88RR - are designed to eliminate that exact frustration. Once the ring connectors are installed on the batteries studs, the connection stays solid during use but disconnects instantly when you need to pull a battery out or remove the accessory from the battery wiring.

That means no loose hardware and no tools needed. It’s one of those upgrades that doesn’t change performance, but dramatically improves day-to-day usability. What size battery(s) do you have and what is the application? This way I can find the exact kit for you :).

This would mostly be for winter storage and charging in the garage. Battery stays in the boat most of the season though.

@Kevin Okay nice, this should help out a lot. Once you’ve got it installed on the battery and other end wired to the load and/or charger, it’s plug-and-play from there on out. Let me know how you like it if you end up getting it!
