Question:
Looking for a dummy 7 pin trailer connector that tricks my 2026 Silverado 1500 into thinking a trailer is connected to be able to view side camera when a turn signal is activated... or a similar solution.

Hey Jerry, congrats on the new truck. That sounds like a similar situation to what we have to do with European cars to get the collision alarms to stop going off when using a bike rack. The 7-Way to 4-Way/5-Way Trailer Adapter for Vehicles with Lamp-Out Sensors Towing Trailers with LEDs item # C35FR is what's recommended for these situations.
The Curt Adapter item # C35FR provides just enough of a return signal to trick the sensors into thinking a trailer is actually connected. It'll plug directly into your factory 7-way and if you ever need a 5-way adapter you'll have one.

We got the 7 way to 7 way because we were having multiple warnings pop up on our 2024 F350 when pulling our 5th wheel, including "NO TRAILER BRAKES" when the brakes would clearly engage, among many other warnings... this has eliminated all of these issues. Hope this helps

I have a 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 HD DRW. This connector works perfectly with my DRV fifth wheel. The turn signal would flash way too quickly without it. I recommend this if you have similar problems.

This worked for me for awhile. Best guess is a resistor inside burned out. I was towing a mini-cooper with a camoper and wound up getting rooftop incandescents en route. Bear in mind this was a 75 day 10,000 mile trip. I could not predict how it will work in the instant application because there's no load on it. For the money its worth a shot-- good luck!
