My 2001 2500hd was delivered from the factory as a cab and chassis, it now has a pickup bed 8foot on it, will this hitch fit my truck? thanks!

Hi Michael!
I have an option for you, but the B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver # BWHDRH25189 is designed for the standard pick-up, so it will be too wide. The frame on the standard pick-up for a 2001 GMC Sierra 2500HD looks to be 42" wide, but cab and chassis models are 34" wide (measured inside to inside).
So with that said, what you are going to want is the B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V - 2" # BWHDRH25122. This is technically listed for a 3500 cab and chassis, but I did just confirm with B&W that it is the correct one for a 2500HD cab and chassis as well. You will need to drill into the frame for the install, but it is the best option for your truck.
