Can both Roll-X and Trac Rac G2 go together on a 2014 Ram?

Question:

Hi! Manufacturers claim these are compatible, however the 2014 Ram quad cab with 6.5 ft. box has over 3 inches of taper toward the rear between the bedrails. The Roll-X covers are tapered to fit, but the Trac Rac rails must be parallel for the sliding racks. It looks like the Trac rails would have to go over top the Roll-X near the cab, and completely off it near the tailgate. Can they be used together? The combination would be a winner for camping and kayaking. Thanks.

I spoke with my contacts at both TracRac and also at Access about your 2014 Dodge Ram Quad Cab with the 6 ft bed.

First, my contact at TracRac said that the TracRac Ladder Rack system, part # TH43003XT-501EX, is designed so that the rails are mounted at an even distance apart, and if the bed tapers as you said it does, they will extend outward when mounted to the top of the bed rails near the end of the bed. They did tell me that when installed the tracks are not completely off the bed rail.

When I asked about interference with a Tonneau cover being installed, they said they do not test fit their rail systems with other products so they could not guarantee a fit.
