Does Draw Tite Hitch for 2023 Acura RDX Allow Spare to be Dropped

Question:
With the 2023 RDX and the 36114 Draw tite hitch. 1 Will I be able to remove the standard 155/90R18 spare to use without removing the hitch? 2. Many are complaining that your packaging is insufficient so the finish is getting ruined during shipping. Has that problem been curred? Once scratched badly won't it be subject to rust?

Hey Mary, yes you will still be able to drop your spare with the Draw Tite hitch part # 36114 installed without any issues. I wish I could say that the packaging was different but it is not. I can say that it's not an issue for everyone so it's not guaranteed to show up with big scratches but if it were to you can hit it with spray paint to prevent rust from forming.
