Question:
1. Will this replacement fan wheel fit an Airstream part no 690266-01 bathroom vent fan. 2. Can this be installed with out removing the fan from the motorhome? 3. Can the fan be turned oninch without raising the fan or will that damage the fan wheel? On the motor home I just purchased the fan wheel is broken in numerous pieces, but the motor runs. I could not find any notice to raise the fan before operating it. Motor home is a 2021 Airstream Interstate 24GL.

Thanks for your question, Greg.
For your first question, can the Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent, part # VP-543SP, replace the Airstream part 690266-01 bathroom vent fan?
Yes, it can, as long as your Airstream still has the original Ventline vent installed. Airstream modeled their vent around the Ventline design, so this replacement will fit in its place without any issue.
For your second question, can this be installed without removing the fan from the motorhome?
I want to make sure I’m understanding this correctly. Are you hoping to use only certain parts from the Ventline vent to replace components on your OEM Airstream vent? If so, you would need to remove the roof cap to access the fan blade, and the motor sits directly underneath those blades.
And for your last question, can you run the fan without opening the dome?
Yes, you can, but it will significantly restrict airflow and make the motor work harder than it should. For the best performance and to protect the motor, the dome really does need to be open anytime the vent is running.
Let me know if I misunderstood any of your questions.

Thanks for the reply - I was hoping to change the fan wheel without getting on the roof. The existing fan wheel is broken in many pieces, and was so when I purchased the motor home. If it cannot be replaced from inside the motor home then I would need to remove the dome and do it from the outside - Is that correct? The last question was to make sure I had not caused the wheel to brake as I turned the fan on without raising it. I do realize it needs to be raised to move air correctly. Is there a way I can confirm that the existing fan is a # VP-543SP, Where would I find a model number on the fan??
