Expert Reply:
Hey Jeff. The latch on the Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler item # DM13203-95 isn't made of plastic or metal. It's a impact-resistant polymer-nylon-resin composite that's extremely durable. The EZ latch is easier to connect and disconnect and since it's not made of metal it won't corrode and become difficult to open after sitting outside.
The Demco Coupler item # DM13203-95 works with a 2-5/16" hitch ball, has an 18,000 lbs capacity and fits a 3" wide channel tongue.
What kind of trailer are you looking to mount this coupler on?
