The Replacement Controlled Motion Hinge for RV Entry Door – 6 Leaf – White # LC22NJ will work perfectly on your 2007 Itasca Ellipse if your existing hinge is a 6-leaf style. This hinge uses controlled-motion technology, which lets your door stay open at any position without slamming or swinging in the wind. It measures about 9 1/2 inches tall by 2 3/4 inches wide and mounts just like the original 6-leaf hinge used on many Class A motorhomes.
If your current hinge is a 4- or 5-leaf design, you can still use this hinge, but you’ll need to drill new mounting holes since the spacing will be slightly different. That’s a simple modification, just fill the old holes with sealant (like # AL28KV) to prevent leaks, align the new hinge, and secure it with new screws or rivets.
