Question:

Hi, I have a 2014 Tiffin Allegeo Open Road 34 TGA that I would like to use this lock for. In the past I tried a RV Lock but my door is just a bit thicker than 1 1/2 inch and while I tried to modify it, I could never get it to work Is this something that may have the forgiveness needed or can it be modified?

Hey Shannon. Sorry but the Global Link RV Lock with Bluetooth Connectivity item # GL62VR only fits doors between 1-1/4" 1-1/2" thick.

The Bauer EM RV Entry Door Lock for Motorhomes item # BA93UR is the only option we have that fits doors up to 1-3/4" thick. It fits cutouts measuring 3-3/4" tall x 2-3/4" wide and has an overall size of 7-3/4" long x 5-1/4" wide x 3-1/4" deep. This entry door lock also has Bluetooth connectivity.

What size is the lock cutout on your Tiffin Allegeo's door?

That’s likely not going to work It’s a class A motorhome. A RVlock Atlas 2 fits the dimensions of the hole so 4.75 by 6.5 is the hole. It won’t fit the thickness. Extremely frustrating. Security is key for may type of RV usage as a snow bird and i cannot find ANYTHING to get me out of using the traditional bolt mechanism because the door is a bit thick

@Shannon You're right it's definitely not going to fit. I would contact Tiffin directly and see what their options are because we do not have anything in the size you need.
