Question:

I have a 2020 Pedigointerceptor and I’m looking at a rack for my 2017 Toyota tundra with a shell. I normally pull my iPad trailer with my truck so sometimes the hitch is engaged and sometimes it would be free. What can you suggest?

Hey Sue, thanks for the information. The Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack item # KU64FR is going to work great with your 2020 Pedego Interceptor. It has a 60 lbs capacity, so you'll definitely need to remove your battery. It's recommended when your transporting an e-bike on a bike rack anyways. The V2 works with tires up to 3" wide and wheelbases 50" long or less. It fits 1-1/4" and 2" hitches and weighs only 26 lbs.

To use the Kuat Transfer V2 item # KU64FR while towing your trailer, I recommend the Gen-Y Adj 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers item # GY32NR. With this ball mount you'll be able to tow your trailer with one of the lower receivers and insert the Kuat item # KU64FR in the top. It comes with a 2" and 2-5/16" dual hitch ball. It fits a 2" receiver and has a 16,000 lbs capacity.

What year and specific model is your trailer? I'm assuming iPad is a typo.

You're right, it's a typo of R-Pod 195 (or 196?) lol I like this idea. Is it possible to use an over-the-tailgate carrier with a shell on the truck?

@Sue Yeah, the shell won't interfere. I'm more concerned about how much space you have above your coupler and how far back the front of your jack is.
