Gerald, the 12-ton Tallboy # PM94FR weighs about 37 lbs all-in, including the base plate, extensions, and carry bag. It’s a little heavy, but that’s the tradeoff for stability and steel construction - the 9-1/2 inch base plate and solid risers are what keep it steady under load. Most RV owners store it in a basement compartment or pickup bed.

Would you be lifting a trailer or a truck with it? That’ll help narrow down whether it’s worth carrying full time or just packing for longer trips.

Mostly for my 2500HD and a 5th wheel when we’re on the road. Thirty-seven pounds doesn’t sound terrible, but does it actually fit in the bag pretty snug?

@Gerald Yep, it fits tight but in a good way, Gerald - the bag’s got foam dividers and straps so the pieces don’t clank around. I won’t lie, it’s not something you’ll forget you’re carrying - but when you need it, it’s worth every pound. Think of it as that one tool you’re glad you packed when things go sideways. You carry any other gear, like blocks or stands, or just the jack?
