Great question Jerry and you’re absolutely right to double-check before ordering! For your 2024 GMC Canyon, there are two different Roadmaster base plate kits available part #RM48GR and # RM56NQ. The difference comes down to the front bumper design. The # RM56NQ kit is made specifically for the AT4X AEV Edition, which has a unique off-road bumper that sits higher and has different mounting points than the other Canyon trims.
Since your truck is the Elevation model, it does not have that off-road bumper, so you’ll want to go with base plate # RM48GR. That one’s designed for the standard front end found on the Elevation, AT4, and Denali trims. Let me know if you need any of the other components for flat towing!

Heather, thanks for the response. Turns out that particular GMC Canyon can't be flat towed so I ended up having to trade it in and get a different vehicle, which leads me to my next question. Do you folks have a video made on how to install the base plate on a 2025 Ford Ranger? Thanks, Jerry
