Question:
Would the Yakima LowRider be suitable to use in coastal areas on boat ramps into salt water? I suspect Yesinch since it is p0wder coated aluminum. Is the hardware galvanized or just powder coated?

Hey Jim, welcome back! The Yakima LowRider Kayak Trailer # Y82QD will work well with salt water since, as you said, it is powder coated aluminum. The hardware is just powder coated. The one thing I would consider is getting the # Y82KD with the alloy wheel upgrade for better corrosion resistance.
Any big kayaking trips coming up?

Hey Jim, how did things go with the Yakima LowRider trailer around the salt water? It’d be great to hear if the powder coating and alloy wheels held up well. Your update could make it easier for others launching in coastal areas.
