Will Blue Ox Base Plate BX3837 Fit 2018 Volkswagen Golf GTI?

I have a 2018 VW GTI. Will the baseplate displayed for the Golf fit the GTI?

@RichA Sure can! Have you confirmed your Golf is flat towable? Looking at them online it looks like certain models are but certain models aren't. your owners manual will specify. As long as you confirm it is flat towable, here are the parts I recommend: - Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX3837 - etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox and Curt Base Plates - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 6K lbs # e47ZR - Blue Ox Bulb and Socket Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - Incandescent # BX8869 - Roadmaster 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Kit # RM-146-7 - Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System - Proportional # BLU37TR - Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25 You may also need a drop hitch like part # BLU28XR to make up for any height differences between the hitch on your RV and the base plate arms. if the drop hitch is used, safety cable extensions # RM-910648-10 will also be needed. Thank you very much for the information. Unfortunately, as you suggested, I’ve checked the owners manual and it says the VW GTI should not be flat towed behind.

@RichA Ok gotcha in that case I cannot recommend flat towing your vehicle. You will need to tow it on a car trailer with all four wheels off the ground, or find a different vehicle to flat tow.
