What is Benefit of Weigh Safe Flap Jacks

Updated 11/13/2025 | Published 10/20/2025

Question:

2025 Alliance Avenue 23ML. What is the point of using products like this? I can see wanting to keep the RVs metal stabilizer feet off the dirt to prevent corrosion .. and I can see wanting to increase the campers footprint on the ground - a 2X8X8 under each stabilizer works fine for both of these concerns. But why would you want to use these tall blocks when the RVs stabilizers can reach the ground? With products like this, you now have two unconnected vertical components stacked at each corner rather than one solid piece as the manufacturer intended. Please explain the benefit.

Hey Scott, this is a great question but the benefit of the Weigh Safe Flap Jack # WS88ER is that the foot print is actually larger than that of a jack or stabilizer leg so the additional surface area does spread out the weight more and increases the foot print.

You can use it in the folded down position if you wanted but the reason you would want to use it the open position is that it prevents you from having to crank the jack quite as far down to the ground. This takes up that space so you spend less time jacking/cranking.

Hey Scott, how did the Weigh Safe Flap Jack blocks work out for your Avenue 23ML? I'm curious if the larger footprint and shorter cranking distance made a noticeable difference for you. Your feedback could really help others weighing the same trade-offs.
