No, it is not JR. The Performance Tool Electric Car Jack item # PTW1609 is not weather proof. You're definitely not going to want to submerge it or use the electrical functions if it's pouring down rain.
If you're wanting a reliable jack that you can use in any type of weather, I recommend the Powerbuilt Bottle Jack item # ALL640405. It has the same 2-ton capacity and will give you a lift range of 6-3/16" to 12-1/16".
Are you needing a jack that can get wet or just want to have one you can use in an emergency no matter what the conditions?
