Do They Make a Custom Fit 5-Way Connector for a 2019 Acura MDX?

I have a 2019 Acura mdx and installed a 4 pin modular kit. my trailer is 5 pin and I need a 5 pin tow vehicle with back up lights to deactivate surge brakes. I bought a 5 pin Hopkins to 4 pin adapter with blue wire to hook into back up lights on vehicle. Where do you do that and what color is the wire? Also is there a 5 pin plug in module for this vehicle that I should install instead? Thanks Paul

Hey Paul, welcome back. They do not make a plug and play 5-way trailer connector for a 2019 Acura MDX. Just a 4-way connector like the Curt item # C56192. The blue wire on the Adapter 4-Pole to 5-Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter item # 47515 does connect to the reverse circuit/back up lights on your vehicle but I don't have anyway of knowing what wire it is.
You'll need to use a circuit tester like item # PTW2992 and a buddy to test the wires going to your tail lights. You'll need to find the wire that has voltage running through it only when your Acura is in reverse.

Hey Paul, were you able to find the correct reverse light wire on your MDX using the circuit tester? Knowing how that connection worked could really help others trying to hook up a 5-pin trailer for their boat.
