Updated 10/22/2025 | Published 10/15/2025

Question:

My truck came with an air lift helper bag kit part AL59568 and I’m in the process of removing it to I can order another kit from you. I am wondering what socket I should use to remove the bump stop bolts because the factory bolt was replaced with whatever bolt was included in kit number AL59568

Hello Alexis,

Is something wrong with the kit that you are removing?

When installing the Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # AL88365 you do have to remove the bump stop and then you re-install it with the included M10-1.25 x 45 bolt (F) or M10-1.50 x 45 bolt (G) (per instructions) so you will need a 17mm socket. I reached out to Air Lift to confirm as it was between the 17mm and the 14mm, but they confirmed the 17mm.

If you need a tool to get the job done, check out the Telescoping Lug Wrench w/ Reversible Sockets - 21 mm, 23 mm, 17-mm to 19-mm Lug Nuts # TM69SR.
