Hello again, Joe,

I’m sorry to inform you, but you do not have the correct wiring. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 56010 is designed for a 2000–2006 Mazda MPV van. I’m not sure how this was installed, as it does not have the correct connectors for your vehicle.

You will need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56009 instead. This is the correct harness for your vehicle and should resolve all the issues you’re experiencing.

I tried to look up your order to confirm which wiring harness you purchased, but I don’t see any orders under the email address you’re writing from. Could you please confirm which wiring harness you installed?

@JoeK Definitely sounds like something funky is going on with the wiring. It has a 1 year warranty, you will need to either reach out to Curt directly, or the company that you purchased it from. I would try to hook up a different car to the trailer first before reaching out, that way when the lights work fine with the other car, it will tell you it is the wiring and not the trailer.
