Question:

I have a 2004 f150 super cab, the factory trailer wiring harness 7pin and 4pin has one side that isnt working brake/turn. I am looking for a stock replacement wiring harness from the connection by the rear end.

Hello James, thanks for reaching out. It sounds like the factory harness on your 2004 F-150 is bad and you are needing the replace the whole thing. We do have wiring kits that can be used for this purpose. Here is what you will need to completely replace the factory harness:

- Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236

- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires # ETBC7

This will be everything you need to add a new 4-flat and 7-way, including all the necessary wires for an electric trailer brake controller like the Tekonsha P3 # 90195. Take a look at the diagram I included.

What kind of trailer will you be pulling?

Hey James, how did things go with the Curt converter and the universal brake controller kit on your F-150? Did the new wiring get your 7-way and 4-way connections working again? Your update could make it easier for others with the same issue.
