What is Needed to Go From Crossbar to Direct Connect Roadmaster Tow Bar

Question:

I have a Roadmaster coupler style tow bar i use on a Mini Cooper and a Honda Element i also have the plastic guard i use on both If I wanted to change to a hitch mount what would be needed besides the towbar to use this style? I need to use different Height hitch ball mounts now for these cars would the hitch mount need anything for the car height differences?

Hey Ronald, as far as the connection is concerned you really just need the different tow bar. Due to height differences you would also possibly need a high-low adapter but I would need you to tell me what that height difference is to pick that out. Keep in mind it's okay to be off by 3 inches up and down and still be fine.

Your current rock guard wouldn't work though so you'd need a new one with the # RM82DQ since the attachment style is different.

Which tow bar are you looking at?
