Does the wheel/tire combo come balanced? My application is on an older 1996 utility trailer that definitely uses a 5 on 4-3/4 bolt pattern. Thank you.

Hi Bruce!
The Kenda Karrier KR53 ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" Silver Mod Wheel - 5 on 4-3/4 # KE42EV isn't balanced the way vehicle tires are, but they are "balanced" in a manner of speaking.
What trailer tire manufacturers do is match the high/heavy spot of the tire to the low/light spot of the wheel and vice versa. Trailer tires typically aren't balanced with weights as doing so will not really affect the ride any more than how they are already mounted. You could of course have a tire place balance them, but I don't think you will really notice any difference.
You could also use the Counteract Tire Balancing Beads Single Pack for Trailers - 4 oz # CA66VR if you didn't want to have a place balance them, but still have more than what the factory does. You would need one of these packets for each tire.

Hey Bruce, how did the Kenda Karrier tire and wheel combo work out on your 1996 utility trailer? Did you notice any difference after trying the Counteract balancing beads or leaving them as they came? Your update could make it easier for the next person with the same setup.
