Can Xtreme Heaters For RV Basement And Boat Bilge Be HardWired Into Breaker Panel Instead Of Outlet?
Published 09/30/2025 >
Question:
Can I wire the XH67FR into my RV’s breaker panel instead of just plugging it in?

You can, Daniel. The 400w heater # XH67FR comes with a 15’ marine-rated cord, but many RV and boat owners hardwire them into a dedicated breaker. If you’re comfortable with electrical work, you can do it, though I’d recommend a licensed RV or marine electrician so it’s done to code. Xtreme doesn’t void the warranty if you cut the plug off.
This kit also comes with a quick release mounting bracket which is super nice.
What is your reasoning for wanting to hardwire instead of plugging it in?
