Great question, Greg. With the # PT37VR polisher, you’ll usually want to start with the terry cloth bonnet when applying compound or rubbing compound. The terry cloth has more bite, so it helps work the compound into the paint and cut through oxidation or swirl marks. Once you’ve got the surface corrected, you’ll switch over to the synthetic wool or microfiber bonnet for your polish or finishing wax. Some folks even keep a couple of clean microfiber bonnets on hand so they can dedicate one to polish and another just for final buffing.
Greg, are you planning to use this on a car or on your RV?
