Hi Gary, I completely understand why you’re hesitant to just pour this into your fresh tank. Since BluTech’s site says to call if you do not have the filtration system, it makes sense that you would want a clear and safe way to use it.

The Blu Technology Bleach Free Liquid Sanitizer part # GB77FR is designed to be introduced through a canister system, but if you do not have the Blu filtration setup, you can disconnect your fresh water hose and use a funnel to add the sanitizer into the hose itself. After that, reconnect the hose to the spigot and turn the water on so the solution is pushed into your RV plumbing system. From there, you would circulate the solution through your lines just as you would during a normal sanitizing process. Please keep in mind, if you are experiencing any lingering taste, that is usually buildup in the lines rather than the sanitizer itself, and descaling with vinegar may be needed since this product sanitizes but does not remove mineral deposits.

Another option is the BluTech Solo canister part # GB64FR, which installs permanently into the water line and gives you a clean and controlled way to introduce treatment products in the future. I did confirm with BluTech that if you are looking for a quick disconnect style canister, that would require a custom setup directly through them.

If you would like exact mix ratios, I would want to confirm your tank capacity to make sure you are using the correct amount. What RV and tank size are you running?

Could I use this sanitizing product along with vinegar to tackle sanitizing and any mineral build up at the same time? Thank you.

@Terry I would not recommend using the Blu Technology sanitizer and vinegar together. Even though both are useful on their own, combining products like that can reduce how effective each one is and in some cases create reactions that aren’t intended. The Blu sanitizer is designed to disinfect the system, while vinegar is better suited for breaking down mineral buildup, so they really work best when used separately. A better approach would be to run a vinegar flush first if you’re dealing with mineral buildup, then thoroughly rinse the system, and follow that up with the Blu sanitizer to disinfect everything. That way each product can do its job properly and you’ll get the best overall result.
