Hey Ralph!
The standard pigtail is 12" - 18" long. You really just need to measure between the 2 points and then add a few inches to account for any bends in the hose to make sure the hose doesn't have to bend too much and kink anywhere.
There's also no harm in going with a pigtail that's a little longer than what you need. So something like a 2' pigtail should work just fine, but you're more than welcome to measure what you need and get back with me about it! For a 2' pigtail you'll use the part # 100473-24-MBS if your regulator doesn't have the adapters on it, or the part # 100575-24-MBS if it does. Check out the attached photo to see what adapters I'm talking about.

Hey Ralph, how did your measurements turn out for the propane pigtails? Were you able to find the right length between the regulator and tanks? Your update could make it easier for others replacing their hoses too.
