What’s the minimum usable length needed for these Curt No-Latch hitches if I wanted to using a keyed locking pin in the place of the ball retaining locking pin?

Hey Dick. The Curt QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler for 2" Ball item # C54UR needs a pin with a minimum of 2-3/4" usable length. The holes are 1/2" in diameter.

It’s just an old lightweight utility trailer that I’m refurbishing; I was hoping to be able to use something like the BOLT # BL7023629 in place of the included pin, but I don’t see anything in their offering with the 1/2” x >2-3/4” dimensions. Thanks.
