Can I Use Same ICON Lock For Gooseneck Coupler And Hit-N-Hitch Coupler On Utility Trailer?
Published 09/10/2025 >
Question:
I have both a 2-5/16inch gooseneck coupler and a 2-5/16" hit-n-hitch coupler on my utility trailer. Can one ICON lock fit both?

Expert Reply:
Lonnie, no, each ICON model is cut to a specific style and size. For your gooseneck, you’d want an actual gooseneck coupler lock which is dependent on what style you have (let me know and I'll find one). Then for your hit-n-hitch coupler, which is very specific, it has it's own style lock with the # AL43DQ. It’s not as convenient as one lock for all, but that precision is why they’re so secure.
Do you want keyed-alike options for convenience, or maximum unique-key security?
