Looking to see if this will fit the factory puck system on my 2017 gmc 2500hd short bed.Can’t seem to find a definite answer and want to be sure before I buy.

Hey Dylan. For a 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 short bed you'll want the Gen-Y Hitch Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for GM OEM Puck Systems - 5" Offset item # GY23XR. This offset ball will drop down into the puck system and provide you with 5" of extra turning clearance.
The Gen-Y Hitch item # GY63XR you were looking at fits the longer 8' bed models of the 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 with the factory puck system.
