Question:
I have a small boat trailer which came with 4.80 - 8 tires. I would like to upgrade to 5.70 - 8 Kenda tires. Would these tires mount on my current rims?

Hi Ralph; 4.80/4.00-8 tires like # AM10002 typically fit 8" x 3-3/4" rims. The same is true for a 5.70-8 tire like the # AM10013. Your main concern will be loss of clearance. Moving to the larger tire size will cause you to lose approximately 1/2" on the inside and 1" of clearance on the top. You want to have at least 2" on the inside and 3" on top for proper clearance.
Is there a specific reason you want the larger tire?
