Question:
I am considering Sumo Springs or Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 for my 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road. I want these to tow a heavier boat and trailer at 5400lbs. Which one would you recommend?

Hello Alex, thanks for reaching out. How often do you plan to tow? If you just take a few shorter trips to the lake each year, I would lean towards the SumoSprings part # SSR-612-47. These are easy to add on, and they will help to add support and level out your ride while towing. You may still experience some sagging, but they will still make a noticeable difference.
If you plan to tow more often, or go on longer trips, the Air Lift air bags # AL49DQ will be the way to go. These are great for ride leveling and ride comfort and will allow you to get the ride perfectly level while you tow. Thay are also great for varying loads, so you will be equipped to tow any other trailer if the need ever arises. Then when you are done towing, you can reduce the pressure in the bags to a minimum of 5 PSI to get back to the factory unloaded ride height.
The air bags are a bit harder to install, but they are a lot more versatile so that is what I recommend. You can run air valves to your bumper, or you can add an onboard compressor like part # AL25980. This will allow you to monitor and fill the bags using your smartphone. Having diagnostics and controls at your fingertips is great. Definitely a good investment if you will be towing frequently.
Take a look at the install video I linked. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help!
