Question:
what is an affordable replacement for a dometic 59516.531 15000 btu something that works with the same connectors and preferably with my existing thermostat because my thermostat also controls the furnace

Hey Michael. Due to EPA changes made this year and compatibility issues discovered last year there isn't just a replacement AC unit for your Dometic setup. The EPA switched to the new R32 coolant, which makes new AC parts not backwards compatible with any component made before this year.
For an affordable setup that will completely replace your current Dometic AC system, you'll want the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System item # ADV92SR. This 15,000 btu system includes the AC unit, an air distribution box, a thermostat, and a start capacitor. You will be able to use your existing wiring to get the new thermostat installed.
